When dealing with hypothesis testing, we will encounter two broad

classifications of tests. These two broad classifications of hypothesis tests

are (a) one-tailed test, and (b) two-tailed test.

Definition: One-Tail Test

A one-tail test points out that the null hypothesis should be rejected when the

test statistic value falls in the critical region.

In this case, the single critical region will be in the right tail or in the left tail

of the distribution.
